Every church has to ask itself why it exists. Our mission is simply this:
Queenswest Church lives with Jesus in the renovation of hearts, community, and culture.
Our church is a diverse community of broken, needy and compromised people. What brings us together is the grace of God in Jesus Christ. We want to join Jesus in his mission of grace to us and to the people God has placed us in the midst of.
Below, in broad strokes, outlines who we are and why we gather.

Our Seed Passage
Contains the DNA of the church.
Ours comes from Isaiah 61:1-4, excerpt below:
The Spirit of the LORD God is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom to the captive,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn...
that they may be called oaks of righteousness...
and they shall renovate the ruined cities.
Vision
The vision of Queenswest is to join God in renovating (spiritually rebirthing) the broken - broken hearts, lives, families, communities and cultures. The hope we have for our own broken lives and church is the hope we have for the world - the healing and reconciling grace of Jesus. We want to show up in our community with the truth of our own brokenness plus good news, creativity, and humility. Our hope is not in ourselves, but in the person of Jesus Christ who loves broken people. Our vision of the promised new heavens and new earth allows us to stand with the broken today. We don't expect to see wholeness or arrival (or rebirth, for that matter) as the Church, but our presence in the midst of suffering and striving point to a future hope where renovation will have taken its full course.
